The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated defenseman Rostislav Klesla and forward Fredrik Modin off injured reserve, club General Manager Scott Howson announced today. Both players are eligible to return to action tonight when the Jackets visit the Nashville Predators. Klesla, who has collected one goal and five assists for six points with 23 penalty minutes and a +1 plus/minus rating in 23 games this season, has missed the past 10 games after being injured on February 10 vs. Colorado. Columbus? first pick, fourth overall, in the 2000 Entry Draft, he has registered 36-76-112 and 441 penalty minutes in 433 career games with the Blue Jackets. Modin has tallied 9-16-25, 28 penalty minutes and is +2 in 49 games this season. He was injured late in a 5-1 win at Carolina on Feb. 14 and has missed the past eight games. A 12-year veteran, he has collected 220-221-441 and 413 penalty minutes in 813 career games with the Blue Jackets, Tampa Bay Lightning and Toronto Maple Leafs.
