Anyone following the career path of Flyers prospect Steve Downie won't raise an eyebrow reading the following message: The 19-year-old right winger has been suspended again. Downie, captain of the Peterborough Petes, had to sit out last night's game against Sault Ste. Marie and will miss tonight's game against Kitchener because of a game misconduct penalty he received for badgering a referee from the bench. Friday's incident followed two recent 10-minute misconduct penalties. Downie has had a problem behaving himself since he became the Flyers' first-round pick (No. 29 overall) in the 2005 NHL entry draft. He was suspended by Windsor last season after getting into a fight with a teammate at practice, prompting a trade to Peterborough, which suspended him twice for incidents related to fighting. He and several teammates also got a game off for breaking curfew.
