According to a Russian news agency, center Andrei Taratukhin has signed a three-year pact with Ufa Salavat Yulaev. Adding fuel to the fire, the team's website includes Taratukhin on its roster.
Flames general manager Darryl Sutter was not available for comment.
Last week, defenseman Mark Giordano -- an unsigned restricted free agent -- agreed to terms with Moscow Dynamo.
However, Taratukhin -- who, after a full season with Omaha of the American Hockey League, figured to push for an everyday spot with the club this winter -- is still under contract to the Flames.
The 24-year-old has one season -- worth $750,000 US at the National Hockey League level -- remaining on an entry-level contract.
Has Taratukhin Left Flames?
