Dave Nonis, Senior Vice-President and GM of the Maple Leafs, announced Friday that the team has agreed to terms with goaltender Jonathan Bernier on a two-year deal.  Bernier was obtained from the Kings on June 23, 2013 in a three-player trade.

Bernier, 24, played in 14 regular season games for the Kings in 2012-13. He posted a record of nine wins, three losses, and a tie while posting one shutout and a goals against average of 1.88 and a save percentage of .922.

He was a first-round selection of the Kings, 11th overall, in the 2006 Entry Draft.
