The Blue Jackets have signed defenseman Nick Holden to a one-year, two-way NHL-AHL contract, club Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations and GM Scott Howson announced tonight. Holden will earn $550,000 at the NHL level and $105,000 at the AHL level. Holden, 26, registered three goals and six assists for nine points and 14 penalty minutes in 25 games with the Springfield Falcons, Columbus’ AHL affiliate, in 2011-12. He missed the majority of the season due to injury.
