After being hit in the face by a slap shot during Monday night's 6-2 win over the Islanders, Bruins forward Daniel Paille was sent to be examined by a specialist. "The puck hit him in the face, in the nose area, so we'll probably know more tomorrow once he's seen by a specialist," Boston coach Claude Julien said. Early in the third period, Islanders defenseman Steve Staios took a slap shot from the right point and the puck hit Paille in the face. He fell to the ice and was quickly tended to by team trainers and doctors just inside the blue line near the Boston bench.
