Patrick Kane and the Blackhawks say he's right on pace for a return from wrist surgery, but they'll play it safe throughout camp, which begins Saturday. "We're going to approach it that way," coach Joel Quenneville said Friday. "We're going to take as much time as we need or we feel. "He'll be practicing a couple times a day, but we won't put him in full contact just yet. We'll side with safety or caution right now and gradually work him in." Kane injured his wrist near the end of last season but didn't require surgery until mid-July.
