GMs Drop Penalty For Hits To Head

NHL general managers believe that hits are a part of the game, and there should be no automatic penalty for blows to the head.
The NHL Players' Association has been pushing for such a rule, but GMs believe contact with the head is often accidental.
"There is no appetite for an automatic penalty," Toronto general manager Brian Burke said Tuesday.
