The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Wednesday that forward Jiri Tlusty has been assigned to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League. Tlusty is expected to play for the Marlies tonight when they visit the Griffins in Grand Rapids. Tlusty has played in 14 games for the Leafs this season and has collected four assists. The 6-0, 209-pound native of Slany, Czech Republic recorded a career-high three assists January 15 at Carolina. In 32 games with the Marlies, Tlusty ranks fourth in team scoring with 21 points on seven goals and 14 assists, along with 14 penalty minutes.
