The Flyers are expected to wait until after the All-Star break to activate center Daniel Briere and his $6.5 salary cap hit. The decision appears to be equal parts business and medical evaluation. "He doesn't feel 100 percent just yet, so we'll hold him out," general manager Paul Holmgren said. "He didn't feel that good, so (not activating him) is probably the likely scenario. Sooner or later we'll have to do something." The Flyers need to clear more than $2 million in salary to make room for Briere.
