But the defending Stanley Cup champion Ducks will find themselves in completely unfamiliar territory when they open the NHL season against the Los Angeles Kings at London's the O2 Arena on Saturday. It will constitute a landmark contest for the NHL, which will play its first regular-season game in Europe in the league's 90-year history. After three successful games in Japan in 1997, 1998 and 2000 to open the season, the NHL comes to London - the birthplace of the Stanley Cup.
