Coyotes general manager Don Maloney announced Wednesday that the team has avoided the arbitration process and re-signed forward Lauri Korpikoski to a two-year contract.
As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"We are very pleased to sign Lauri to a two-year contract," said Maloney. "Lauri is an excellent skater, a versatile forward and an important player on our team. We are happy to avoid arbitration and finalize a contract."
Last season, the 6-foot-1, 200-pound Korpikoski led the team with two short-handed goals and was tied for second on the team in goals (19) and plus-minus (plus-17).
