Coyotes Re-Assign Murray To San Antonio

Press Release - Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have re-assigned center Garth Murray to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage.

Murray, 26, played in eight games for the Coyotes after being recalled from San Antonio on Nov. 3. Prior to that, he appeared in nine games for San Antonio and recorded 4-1-5 and 32 penalty minutes (PIM). His was tied for the team-lead in goals and ranked 4th in points and PIM at the time of his recall.

Murray began last season with the Montreal Canadiens and appeared in one game before being claimed off waivers by the Florida Panthers. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound Murray then suffered a season-ending shoulder injury after playing in six games and collecting 19 PIM with the Panthers.

In 114 career NHL games with the New York Rangers, Canadiens, Panthers and Coyotes, Murray has recorded 8-2-10 and 131 PIM. He has also appeared in six career NHL playoff games. [READ]
