The Flyers embarrassed the Thrashers, 7-0, on Tuesday night in Atlanta for their third-straight victory. Antero Niittymaki had 27 saves en route to a shutout victory while a trio of Flyers had two goals apiece. Joffery Lupul scored on a wrister in the first period to give Philadelphia a 1-0 lead. Mike Knuble and Simon Gagne then each found the back of the net in the second, before the Flyers enjoyed a huge final period. Knuble, Lupul, and Gagne all scored again, with Glen Metropolit joining in on the fun. Atlanta's Kari Lehtonen surrendered all seven goals while stopping 24 of Philly's 31 shots on goal. The Flyers began their win streak with back-to-back wins over the Devils this past weekend.
