The Los Angeles Kings have signed restricted free agent center Brad Richardson to a two-year contract, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today. Per club policy, terms of the agreement were not announced. Richardson, 23, was acquired by the Kings from Colorado for a second round selection in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft on June 21. In 22 regular season games this past season with the Avalanche, he recorded five points (2-3=5) and eight penalty minutes. The 5-11, 185-pound native of Belleville, Ontario, also recorded 40 points (14-26=40) and 18 penalty minutes in 38 regular season games with Lake Erie, Colorado?s American Hockey League affiliate. His 40 points ranked fourth on club while his 26 assists tied for third on the team.
