Rangers President and GM Glen Sather announced today that the club has agreed to terms with goaltender Martin Biron on a new contract.
Biron, 34, has posted a 20-12-2 record with a 2.32 goals against average, .912 save percentage and two shutouts in 38 games over the last two seasons with the Rangers after signing with the team as a free agent on July 1, 2010.
Last season, Biron was 12-6-2 with a 2.46 goals against average, .904 save percentage and two shutouts in 21 games. He tied for fourth among NHL goaltenders with three assists on the season.
