By Nick Obergan Steven Stamkos? two-month reign at the top of the OCPR forward rankings has come to an end, and it shouldn?t be a surprise to anyone who has been following hockey this season. Sidney Crosby?s remarkable 25-game point streak has vaulted him past Stamkos into the top spot with a semi-comfortable 18-point lead. Patrick Sharp remains in third, while Alexander Ovechkin has dropped to ninth; there are four new forwards in the top-10. On the blueline, Dustin Byfuglien resumes his dominance over his peers, increasing his lead from 29 points to 37 over the second-best defender; he leads all defensemen in goals, game-winning goals, points and shots, among other things. Predators? captain Shea Weber is the only new face among the top-10 defensemen, jumping all the way from 31st to sixth. In net, Tim Thomas and Jimmy Howard have jumped Carey Price and are now first and second respectively. Marc-Andre Fleury, Henrik Lundqvist and Roberto Luongo have made jumps into the top-10, while rookies Michal Neuvirth and Sergei Bobrovsky have dropped out of the top-10, as did the injured Kari Lehtonen. All stats are as of December 31, 2010; all ranking totals are derived using the unique OCPR formulas. Last month?s rankings in brackets. Forwards 1. Sidney Crosby, Pittsburgh ? 242.32 (2) 2.
