Peter Forsberg made his return to Flyers practice on Friday only to find a huge media horde awaiting him. Most of the escalated television-radio-print interest was a result of Thursday's latest gossip, namely assertions on a Denver television report that he had already spoken to the Avalanche about a possible return to Colorado. Forsberg quickly shot down that contention but admitted he and Holmgren, the team's general manager, need to discuss future plans before speculation runs amok. ?It's just so annoying with all the rumors and everything like that,? Forsberg said. ?I have not spoken to anybody in their (the Avalanche) organization. That's just totally false. ?But it definitely would be good (to get talks started). It's a little distraction for the team, for me and everything when it's written in the paper. It would be good if we could figure out what to do as soon as possible.?
