The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has acquired defenseman Joe Rullier from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for right wing Colby Genoway. Rullier will report directly to Portland, Anaheim?s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). Rullier, 26, has played in 24 games with the Manitoba Moose (AHL) this season, scoring 2-6=8 points with 62 penalty minutes (PIM). The 6-3, 230-pound defenseman split the 2005-06 season between Hartford (AHL) and Manchester (AHL), scoring 8-23=31 points with 160 PIM in 67 games played. He set professional single-season career highs in goals, assists and points.
