The Columbus Blue Jackets have re-signed center Derek MacKenzie to a two-year, two-way contract, general manager Scott Howson announced Thursday. As is club policy, terms were not disclosed. MacKenzie, who turned 29 on June 11, recorded one goal and three assists for four points and was +3 in 18 games with the Blue Jackets in 2009-10. He added 17-30-47 and 30 penalty minutes in 47 games with the Syracuse Crunch, Columbus' AHL affiliate. "Derek is a true professional, who brings experience, leadership and depth to our organization," Howson said.
