Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren says it's still a "stretch" to suggest that center Jeff Carter could play against Montreal in the Eastern Conference Finals.
"He's been off the ice a long time, he hasn't really been able to do anything from a conditioning standpoint," Holmgren said earlier this week.
"Obviously, it's encouraging to see him skating. He skated. Today's Monday, we'll take it a day at a time, see how he is tomorrow."
Carter broke his foot in Game 4 of the Flyers' first-round series against New Jersey and had surgery on April 23.
A victory on Tuesday night gave Philadelphia a 2-0 lead over Montreal in the series.
