The Canadiens were forced to spend an extra night on Long Island because of a storm that dumped more than 2 feet of snow, according to an Associated Press report. After their win over the Islanders on Saturday night, the club waited an hour on its charter plane before the flight was postponed until 4 p.m. Sunday. Spokesman Dominick Saillant said the team arrived in Atlanta early Sunday night for a game Monday night against the Thrashers.
