In some good news for the Boston Bruins, the x-rays on Zdeno Chara's left foot came back negative yesterday. Chara was scarred by a screaming Sheldon Souray slapper Wednesday in an exhibition game in Montreal, and he said he'd do it again if it meant winning. ``That's what it takes," Chara, who has a bone bruise in his left foot, said yesterday of paying the price. ``When you have 25 guys on the same page, they all sacrifice for one thing: to win. That's the best feeling. When you really pay the price, you sacrifice, you work really hard, you're exhausted in the end. But you know, you get the win. And it's worth it." Chara, injured in the first period of Boston's 3-1 win, did not practice yesterday. He will attempt to skate this morning before the Bruins depart for Moncton, New Brunswick, for tonight's exhibition game against the New York Islanders. Even if he does not skate this morning, Chara will travel with the team. Lewis said that if the Bruins were playing a regular-season game tonight, Chara would most likely dress. ``It's nothing special," Chara said of the blocked shot. ``That's the job you have to do. Sometimes you have to sacrifice and pay the price. I don't see anything special in that. I'm sure pretty much anyone in that position would go down and block the shot."
