Red Wings RW Kopecky undergoes surgery, out 10-12 weeks

DETROIT (TICKER) -- Detroit Red Wings right wing Tomas Kopecky underwent successful surgery Friday to repair a broken collarbone. He will be sidelined up to 12 weeks.
Kopecky suffered the injury early in the third period of Thursday's 3-2 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks. The rookie was tripped by Chicago defenseman Jim Vandermeer, who also fell and rode the Slovakian into the boards.
