The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced today that center Paul Stastny will miss 2-4 weeks due to a broken foot. "A CT scan taken yesterday (March 24) revealed the fracture in his foot," said Avalanche team physician Dr. Andrew Parker. Stastny suffered the injury while blocking a shot on March 17 at Minnesota. The 23-year old is tied for fourth on the Avalanche in scoring with 36 points (11g/25a) despite playing only 45 games. He also missed 26 games earlier this season after suffering a broken forearm while blocking a shot on Dec. 23 vs. Phoenix. In other news, the Avalanche has recalled forward Matt Hendricks from Lake Erie of the American Hockey League.
