The Columbus Blue Jackets have placed defenseman Ole-Kristian Tollefsen on Injured Reserve, club General Manager Scott Howson announced today. Tollefsen will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery on Friday and is expected to be sidelined four to six weeks. Tollefsen, 24, has collected one assist and 31 penalty minutes in 12 games with the Blue Jackets this season. He has appeared in 138 career NHL games with the club, registering 4-6-10 with 267 penalty minutes since the 2005-06 season. The Oslo, Norway native was Columbus? third pick, 65th overall, in the 2002 Entry Draft. After playing two seasons with Brandon of the Western Hockey League and two more with the American Hockey League?s Syracuse Crunch, Tollefsen collected 2-3-5, 123 penalty minutes and was +2 in 70 games with the Blue Jackets as a rookie in 2006-07.
