The Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled defenseman Jamie Heward from Norfolk of the American Hockey League it was announced by Lightning Executive Vice President & General Manager Brian Lawton. Heward, a 6-foot-2, 215-pound native of Regina, Saskatchewan, has two assists in four games with the Lightning this season. He tied his career best with two assists on October 11 against Carolina. He was signed as a free agent during the preseason and has been recalled twice after being originally reassigned on October 19. With the Admirals this season, Heward has tallied six goals and 14 assists in 20 games. He ranks second on the team in power-play goals with four. A nine-year NHL veteran, Heward has appeared in 385 career games with Tampa Bay, Toronto, Nashville, Columbus, Washington, Los Angeles and the New York Islanders. He spent last season with SKA St. Petersburg in Russia, skating in 53 games and recording two goals and 17 points.
