The Islanders have lost leading scorer Alexei Yashin for two to four weeks with a sprained knee. The Isles captain, who has 28 points (10-18) in 22 games, was injured in the third period of a 4-1 win over Washington on Saturday night. "It's a big loss, no doubt, especially with Yash playing so well, but every team has to deal with injuries," Islanders head coach Ted Nolan said in a release. "It's up to everyone else to step up their games and take advantage of the opportunities they're provided."
