The Bruins recalled goalie Philippe Sauve from Providence of the AHL on Friday, just hours before facing the Carolina Hurricanes in a matinee game. Sauve, 26, acquired by Boston from the Phoenix Coyotes on Nov. 14, was assigned to Providence following the trade. He was 1-1 there with a 3.51 goals-against average in two games. Sauve, drafted by Colorado in 1998, was 4-5 with a 3.80 GAA in 10 games with Phoenix's AHL affiliate in San Antonio this season.
