The Toronto Maple Leafs have recalled defenceman Carlo Colaiacovo on Thursday from his conditioning stint with the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League. He is expected to make his season debut in the Maple Leafs' first visit to Philadelphia this evening. He appeared in two games for the Marlies (0g, 0a) and posted a +1 plus/minus mark. Colaiacovo played in 48 games for the Maple Leafs in 2006-07 registering eight goals and nine assists for 17 points, along with 22 penalty minutes and a +5 plus/minus rating. The Toronto native was originally the Maple Leafs first choice, selected 17th overall, in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
