There was no miracle recovery for left winger Jay Pandolfo. He was too sore yesterday to extend his streak of consecutive games played past 307 because of a pelvic/abdominal injury. And it doesn't look like he'll be ready in time for tomorrow's game against the Atlanta Thrashers. "I'd have to feel a lot better tomorrow for Sunday to be a possibility," Pandolfo said. "I feel a lot better. I can walk a lot better. It's just painful around the waist. Nothing is broken in my pelvis. That's obviously good. Everything was shaken up." Pandolfo crashed hard into the end boards after taking a shot during the third period of Wednesday night's game against the Stars.
