Minnesota Wild President and General Manager Doug Risebrough today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned goaltender Nolan Schaefer to the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL). The Wild has also activated goaltender Josh Harding from Injured Reserve. Harding, 23 (6/18/84), is 3-5-1 with a 2.68 goals against average GAA and a .914 save percentage in 10 games with the Wild this season. The 6-foot-1, 197-pound native of Regina, Sask., was Minnesota?s second-round choice (No. 38 overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. Harding is 8-8-2 with a 2.15 GAA and a .927 save pct. in 20 career NHL games - all with Minnesota. Schaefer, 27 (1/15/80), has been recalled to the Wild three times this season without appearing in a game. He is 3-4-0 with a 2.67 (GAA) and a .906 save percentage in seven games for the Aeros this season. Schaefer is a 6-foot-2, 195-pound native of Yellow Grass, Sask. He was San Jose?s fifth-round pick (No. 166 overall) in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. Minnesota signed Schaefer as a free agent on July 3, 2007. Schaefer is 5-1-0 with a 1.88 GAA in seven career NHL games - all with San Jose.
