The Columbus Blue Jackets have placed defensemen Duvie Westcott on injured reserve, Blue Jackets' General Manager Scott Howson announced today. Westcott suffered a concussion against the Detroit Red Wings on November 24 at Nationwide Arena. Westcott, 30, has appeared in 11 games with Columbus this season, collecting a goal and two assists for three points and 20 penalty minutes. He missed the final 40 games of the 2006-07 season due to a concussion suffered at San Jose on January 6. Westcott has appeared in 189 games with the Blue Jackets during his NHL career, registering 11 goals and 44 assists for 55 points with 289 penalty minutes.
