The Tampa Bay Lightning have reassigned defenseman Dan Jancevski to the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League, Executive Vice President and General Manager Jay Feaster announced. Jancevski (pronounced jan-SEV-skee), a 6-foot-3, 218-pound native of Windsor, Ontario, played in two games with the Lightning. He logged 4:45 of ice time with two blocked shots and made his Lightning debut November 21 against the New York Rangers. The 26-year-old has played in 17 games with the Admirals this season and recorded four assists with 14 penalty minutes. Jancevski tied for the scoring lead among defensemen with 31 points as the Hamilton Bulldogs captured the Calder Cup in 2007. A veteran of 487 American Hockey League games, he has recorded 28 goals and 145 points. He served as captain of the Iowa Stars during their inaugural season in 2005-06, and made his NHL debut with the Dallas Stars on February 4, 2006 against St. Louis. He led all Iowa defensemen in scoring that season with 38 points (9-29-38). He has appeared in 40 career Calder Cup Playoff games, recording four goals and 17 points. Originally, he was drafted by the Dallas Stars in the second-round, 66th overall, at the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. The Lightning signed him as a free agent on July 6, 2007.
