The Canucks made a pair of moves Wednesday, re-signing Jozef Balej and acquiring Zack Fitzgerald from the Blues for Francois-Pierre Guenette. A third-round pick of Montreal in 2000, Balej was acquired from the Rangers in October 2005. The 25-year-old Slovakian spent last season in Switzerland, where he recorded 13 goals and 17 assists in 37 games with HC Fribourg-Gotteron.
