The Dallas Stars have re-signed backup goalie Scott Wedgewood to a $2 million, two-year contract Friday.

Wedgewood split last season with New Jersey, Arizona and Dallas, joining the Stars in a trade that sent a third-round pick in 2023 to the Coyotes. He was 3-1-3 with a 3.05 goals-against average as Jake Oettinger's backup in Dallas.

The team also added assistants Steve Spott and Alain Nasreddine to the staff of new coach Pete DeBoer. Goaltending coach Jeff Reese and video coach Kelly Forbes are holdovers from former coach Rick Bowness' staff.
