The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed left wing Kirill Starkov to a three-year entry level contract, club Interim General Manager Jim Clark announced today. As is club policy, terms were not disclosed. Starkov, 20, collected 34 goals and 37 assists for 71 points with 41 penalty minutes and was +3 in 72 games in his rookie season with the Red Deer Rebels of the Western Hockey League. He led the team in goals and power play goals (19), while ranking second in points and assists (tied). He added 2-4-6 with four penalty minutes and was +1 in seven playoff games for the Rebels, as well as notching 1-1-2 and with a plus/minus rating of +3 in six games for Team Denmark at the IIHF World Championships.
