The Maple Leafs announced today that the club has acquired forward Gabriel Gagne from Ottawa in exchange for forward Morgan Klimchuk. 

Gagne, 22, has appeared in 33 games with the Belleville Senators (AHL) during the 2018-19 season and has recorded four goals and five assists for nine points. In 142 career AHL games, the Laval, Quebec native has registered 40 points (26 goals, 14 assists) and 62 penalty minutes. Prior to playing in the AHL, Gagne skated in 177 games in the QMJHL split between Victoriaville (143 games) and Shawinigan (34 games), where he recorded 68 goals and 64 assists for 132 points.

Gagne was originally selected by the Senators in the second round (36th overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft.
