The Kings have agreed to terms with unrestricted free agent forward Teddy Purcell on a one-year contract, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

The 30-year-old Purcell appeared in 76 regular season games with Florida and Edmonton last season (14-29=43, 12 PIM, 16:50 TOI). Originally signed as an un-drafted free agent by the Kings in 2007 after one season at the University of Maine (NCAA), Purcell has played nine seasons in the NHL – with Florida, Edmonton, Tampa Bay and Los Angeles.

In 559 career regular season games he has 305 points (101-204=305) and 102 penalty minutes.
