The NHL's leading vote-getter for the All-Star Game, John Scott, was placed on waivers by the Coyotes on Friday.

It's the third time Scott has been waived by the team this year. The two previous times he wasn't sent down after clearing waivers; it was simply done to create roster flexibility. The enforcer, who has embraced the funny campaign to get him into the All-Star Game, has said he would likely go if voted in.
