This year's NHL All-Star Game will be three separate 20-minute, 3-on-3 games resulting from a four-team mini-playoff, sources confirmed to ESPN.com.

TSN's Bob McKenzie was the first to report the news.

Two teams from the Eastern Conference will play each other while two teams from the Western Conference face off. Then the two winners will meet in the final 20-minute, 3-on-3 game.
