The Avalanche announced today that the team has signed forward Patrick Bordeleau to a three-year contract through the 2015-16 season.

Bordeleau, 27, appeared in 46 of Colorado’s 48 games this past season, recording five points with 70 penalty minutes.  The Montreal native led the Avalanche in hits (116) and finished second in penalty minutes and major penalties (6).

“Patrick brings toughness and size to our lineup and is well-liked in our dressing room,” said Avalanche Executive VP of Hockey Operations Joe Sakic.  “We are pleased he has committed to our team for the upcoming seasons.”
