The Ducks announced today that the club has signed forward Steven Whitney to a two-year entry-level contract. 
 
Whitney, 22, recently completed his collegiate career with Boston College. He ranked second in the nation in goals, scoring a career-high 26-19=45 points in 38 contests during his senior season. On Mar. 19, Whitney was the recipient of the Walter Brown Award, awarded annually to the best American-born hockey player in New England. 
 
A native of Reading, MA, Whitney scored 55-73=128 points in 160 career collegiate games for Boston College. He was a member of the club’s NCAA Division 1 Championship team in 2011-12, earning All-Tournament honors at the Frozen Four in Tampa.
