The Canadiens have signed Max Pacioretty, their leading scorer last season, to a six-year contract extension.
The 23-year-old left wing had a team-high 65 points in 79 games, and he was second in goals with 33.
The deal, agreed to on Monday, is reportedly worth $27M with an average of $4.5M per season.
