The Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled goaltender Karri Ramo from Springfield of the American Hockey League today, Executive Vice President and General Manager Jay Feaster announced. Ramo, 6-foot-2, 192-pounds, has played in 45 games with the Falcons this season and posted a 3.13 goal-against average, .906 save percentage and one shutout in his first North American season. He also was the only representative from the Falcons chosen to the 2007 AHL All-Star Game and made nine saves in one period of work. Ramo was also named the winner of the Rbk Hockey Top Goaltender award in the skills competition, stopping 15 of 19 shots on the night. Ramo is currently second in the AHL in shootout wins after posting a 5-1 record and stopping 29 of 35 shots faced.
