The Ducks announced today that the club has signed left wing Max Friberg to a three-year entry-level contract. Friberg, 19, led all players at the 2012 IIHF World Junior Championship in Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta with nine goals and ranked tied for second in scoring with 11 points in six games. Friberg also appeared in 48 games with Timra of the Swedish Elite League last season, scoring 10 goals with eight penalty minutes. Selected in the fifth round (143rd overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, Friberg made his professional debut in 2009-10 with Stockholm AIK Jr. and Stockholm AIK of the Swedish Division 1 leagues.
