Senators Hire Jim Little As New CEO

Jim Little was hired Friday as chief executive officer of the Ottawa Senators, a team looking for a boost on the ice and at the gate.

Owner Eugene Melnyk, whose team is tied for the second fewest points in the league, had been the CEO since the NHL club split with Tom Anselmi in February 2018.

Predators Name John Hynes New Head Coach

John Hynes has been named the new head coach of the Nashville Predators, just over a month after being fired by the New Jersey Devils.

The Predators fired head coach Peter Laviolette on Monday after he spent six seasons with the team. Hynes becomes just the third head coach for Nashville in franchise history.

Canadiens Sign Ilya Kovalchuk For The Rest Of The Season

Ilya Kovalchuk will play for the Montreal Canadiens for the rest of the season after the 36-year-old Russian winger signed a two-way contract Friday for the league minimum, which will pay him $700,000 in the NHL and $70,000 in the AHL.
