Rangers Sign Coach Alain Vigneault To Extension

The Rangers on Tuesday signed head coach Alain Vigneault to an extension through the 2019-20 season that would make him the third highest-paid coach in the NHL.

A source told ESPN's Pierre LeBrun that Vigneault's new deal is worth a little more than $4 million per season, which would place him behind only Toronto's Mike Babcock and Chicago's Joel Quenneville among the highest-paid coaches.

Ducks Sign Goaltender Ryan Faragher To One-Year Deal

The Ducks announced today that the club has signed goaltender Ryan Faragher to a one-year, two-way contract. Per club policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Faragher, 26, has gone 6-12-1 with one shutout, a 2.85 goals-against average (GAA) and .898 save percentage (SV%) in 20 career AHL games with San Diego (2015-16) and Norfolk (2014-15). The goaltender has also appeared in 86 career ECHL games with Utah, posting a 44-30-8 record with five shutouts, a 2.60 GAA and .909 SV%.

Originally signed by Anaheim as a free agent on Apr. 7, 2014, Faragher has gone 10-9-1 with one shutout, a 3.02 GAA and .893 SV% in 21 appearances this season with the Utah Grizzlies (ECHL). The Fort Frances, Ontario native played three NCAA seasons with St. Cloud State from 2011-14, posting a 53-34-8 record with five shutouts, a 2.58 GAA and .911 SV% in 98 career appearances.

Ducks Sign Dustin Tokarski To One-Year Extension

The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the club has signed goaltender Dustin Tokarski to a one-year contract extension through the 2017-18 NHL season.

Tokarski, owns a 10-12-5 record with one shutout, a 2.84 goals-against average (GAA) and .904 save percentage (SV%) in 34 career NHL games with Anaheim, Montreal and Tampa Bay.

Canadiens Sign Montoya To Extension

The Montreal Canadiens have signed backup goalie Al Montoya to a two-year extension, the team announced Monday.

The deal is worth an average of $1.0625 million per season, a source told ESPN.com.

By extending Montoya, who would have been an unrestricted free agent July 1, the Canadiens now have a goalie they can expose in the June expansion draft.
