Ovechkin, Jagr, Nabokov Named

Also honored were Rangers' right wing Jaromir Jagr and Sharks' goaltender Evgeni Nabokov.
Sharks' Nabokov Gets NHL-Best 20th Win
Evgeni Nabokov and the San Jose Sharks just keep winning.
Nabokov made 26 saves for his fifth shutout and league-leading 20th win of the season, and the Sharks extended their club-record road winning streak to eight games with a 1-0 win over the St. Louis Blues on Friday night.
"We stuck with the plan, and we killed some big penalties," he said. "The key in a game like that is stay tight, stay patient and hope something good would happen."
The Sharks also set a team record by earning a point in their 11th straight road game (10-0-1). San Jose, which got a goal from Milan Michalek late in the third period, has outscored its opponents 32-16 over the stretch.
Nabokov now has 39 career shutouts, fourth among active goaltenders.
Spezza Reaches Milestone In Senators' Win
The Ottawa Senators' stars are more focused on the win column than the score sheet.
Jason Spezza scored a power-play goal for his 300th NHL point, and Dany Heatley had two assists to reach 50 points this season, leading Ottawa to a 5-2 win over the New York Islanders on Thursday night.
Spezza collected a souvenir for his father after he earned his milestone point in his 277th regular-season game with his 13th goal of the season during the Senators' five-on-three advantage 1:01 into the second.
"I made sure I got the puck for him," Spezza said. "It's obviously something that's important, but it's not that important. It's just one of those things you want to get out of the way."
Daniel Alfredsson scored his 22nd goal, and Martin Gerber made 24 saves, extending his and the Senators' winning streak to three.
Pens' Crosby Named Canadian Athlete Of The Year
Penguins center Sidney Crosby was selected The Canadian Press male athlete of the year Wednesday, beating out the Phoenix Suns' Steve Nash and the Colorado Rockies' Jeff Francis. Winning the Lionel Conacher Award capped a season that included a Hart Trophy as the NHL's MVP, the Pearson Award as the league's outstanding player according to his peers and the Art Ross Trophy as scoring champion.
"I'm definitely proud to be Canadian and I realize that there's a lot of great Canadian athletes, so to be considered athlete of the year is quite an honor," Crosby said.

Goalie Kari Lehtonen of the Thrashers was the second star of the week while centre Jason Arnott of the Predators was the third star.
Devils' Brodeur Takes Second Place In Career Shutouts
Patrik Elias gave Martin Brodeur all the support he needed to beat the Flames -- and leave George Hainesworth behind.
Brodeur broke a tie with Hainesworth for second place on the NHL's career shutout list by making 30 saves in the Devils' 1-0 overtime victory over the Flames on Sunday night.
Brodeur has three shutouts this season to push his career total to 95. Terry Sawchuk tops the list with 103.
