Nathan MacKinnon has now lost all his linemates. The Colorado Avalanche announced Tuesday that forward Gabriel Landeskog is out indefinitely with a lower-body injury.

St. Louis Blues star forward Vladimir Tarasenko will undergo shoulder surgery on Tuesday, the team announced.

Tarasenko will be placed on long-term injury reserve and will be reevaluated in five months, meaning he will miss the majority of the 2019-20 season.

The Blackhawks have placed defenseman Connor Murphy on long-term injured reserve.

The Maples Leafs announced the news Thursday, one day after Tavares suffered the injury in a 4-3 loss to the Washington Capitals.

Carolina Hurricanes winger Jordan Martinook will undergo a core muscle surgery for the second time this year, general manager Don Waddell announced Thursday.

The latest procedure was set for Friday. Martinook is expected to miss six to eight weeks to recover.

The 33-year-old Malkin left the second period of Pittsburgh's 7-2 win over Columbus on Saturday after taking a hit to the boards while in an awkward position.

Minnesota Wild defenseman Greg Pateryn has undergone surgery on his midsection and will be out about six more weeks.

The Wild said Tuesday that the procedure for a bilateral core muscle repair went as planned in Philadelphia. Pateryn missed most of training camp because of the injury.
